1:CLOCK is a relatively new Windows Phone 8 app that will help you keep track of global times, keep time with a stopwatch and countdown the seconds with a timer.

1:CLOCK can display times for over 3,700 cities worldwide, save stopwatch times and double as a nightstand clock. The app is in its infancy and while there is still work to be done, 1:CLOCK has a certain level of appeal. To help push you off the fence and give 1:CLOCK a try, the app is free and ad-free through February 24th.

While Fitness Month is focusing on sleep and relaxation, part of a good night's sleep is waking up on time. Right? In that spirit we now turn our attention to an alarm clock app for your Windows Phone.

Night Stand Clock is a resourceful alarm clock app for your Windows Phone that has a wide selection of clock designs, includes integrated weather and can double as a flashlight. It's a nifty alarm clock app that should help you rise and shine from a relaxing sleep.

Wake up to your favorite tunes with Music Alarm

Music Alarm is a Windows Phone app that, as the name suggests, allows you to wake up to your Windows Phone music library. The application is fairly simple and straight forward in that you choose the music you want to wake up to, set the alarm time and tap the check mark to set things in motion.

You do have the option to shuffle the music and set the duration of the snooze button. Speaking of which, Music Alarm has a nifty "shake to snooze" feature. You just need to make sure you have a firm grip on your Windows Phone so it doesn't sail across the bedroom.

Windows Phone App Short Take: Time Sync

Time Sync is a nice little World time app for your Windows Phone. If you need to keep track of the current time in another part of the world, Time Sync should come in handy.

Time Sync includes a listing of over 6,500 cities and there's a neat conversion tool that will convert any random date and time for one city or country to another.

If you recall, G-Alarm was huge on Windows Mobile and now it has been ported to Windows Phone 7. Features of the Windows Phone 7 version include:

  • Monitoring your sleep cycle and Sleep Diary
  • Gentle wake-up modes
  • Access to Zune playlists
  • Task oriented sleep timers (math and maze puzzles so it's not so easy to get the extra five minutes of sleep)
  • Accelerometer interface to let you shake to snooze
  • Themed wallpapers.

We've only spent a little time with G-Alarm and it looks as if it has made the transition with flying colors. G-Alarm does have to be open for the app to work properly but it can run under the lock-screen. So, you'll need to make sure your Windows Phone is plugged in so it can last the night.

There is a trial version available for G-Alarm with the full version running $.99. You can find it here (opens Zune) at the Marketplace.
