Vampyr receives new difficulty modes on Xbox One and PC

Recently, Dontnod Entertainment announced a significant content update coming to Vampyr on Xbox One and other platforms. The patch would introduce two new difficulty modes which should enhance replayability. While summer is over, the patch has finally landed on the systems.

Story Mode de-emphasizes combat, placing a greater focus on the narrative so players can enjoy Dr. Jonathan Reid's journey with less challenging gameplay. On the other end of the scale, Hard Mode makes combat much more difficult. Players will receive less experience from killing enemies, forcing them to rely even more on embracing citizens to grow in power.

Vampyr is set in Britain during the lethal Spanish flu which devastated the land. In a completely disorganized and ghostly city, those who are unlucky enough to walk the streets at night become prey to vampires. You step into the shoes of a doctor who has recently turned into a vampire. The game is as much about staying alive by hunting as it is about understanding your new affliction.
