Break out of your comfort zone and join us on this virtual 5K for $5, an 80% savings

Have you ever considered running a 5K at an event but didn't do it because you were too nervous to run with that many other people, or because it was simply too expensive? Well, we've worked out a deal with Vi Trainer, a company that holds virtual 5K runs, and this is your chance to get in on the action at a fraction of the cost. Signing up for the virtual 5K via this link drops the cost of entry down from $24.99 to just $4.99, which is a small price to pay to accomplish one of your goals. The cost of the race includes more than just the ability to run virtually with thousands of others. It takes place on June 5, but you don't need to start at any specific time. The event is open for 24 hours, so all you need to do is launch the app and track your 5K run at any point during that day.

For race day, you'll be assigned a bib number just like you would at any other race event, and you can keep up with real-time stats while you are running. There's a leaderboard to show you results, and the Vi trainer will help motivate you to do your absolute best. Upon completion, you'll receive a virtual medal, and throughout the race event Vi will be giving out a bunch of random prizes.

A few members from the Thrifter team, myself included, have signed up for the event. We will be challenging the rest of the Mobile Nations team to do the same, and we hope that you'll join us in this fun virtual event. Be sure to sign up as soon as possible so that you can take full advantage of the training Vi can provide you. If you end up having a blast and gaining from Vi's personalized program, you'll be able to continue training for $9.99 a month, or $99.99 for the year.
