Borderlands 3 is here, and with it comes a wide arsenal of different legendary items to grind for. One of the best legendary weapons in the game is the One Pump Chump, a unique Jakobs shotgun you can only get in one specific location by killing one specific enemy. Here's our guide to everything you need to know about this awesome tool of destruction, including where to find it, what you need to do to obtain it, and what makes it so effective in combat.
Where is the One Pump Chump?
The stairs to the lower level of Lectra City.
To find the place where the One Pump Chump can be obtained, follow these steps:
Travel to the planet of Promethea.
Go to the Lectra City sector.
Run around until you find a set of stairs that lead below.
Go down the stairs.
Look to the right to find a tunnel complex.
Enter the tunnels and turn left.
Keep going until you come across a small entrance to a short hallway.
Past the entrance, go into the room on the left side.
Obtaining the One Pump Chump
Once you enter the room on the left side of the entrance hallway, you'll be faced with a set of five different switches. Your objective here is to press the switches in a sequence that causes all five of the televisions at the end of the hall that leads to the doorway to turn on, which will then open the door and spawn the boss who can drop the One Pump Chump. Here's how to do it:
Stand next to the lever and wheel switches.
Pull the lever twice and turn the wheel once.
Shoot the bandit boss One Punch when he comes out to face you.
When One Punch dies, check to see if he dropped the One Pump Chump.
If One Punch does not drop the weapon, reload the Lectra City area to try again.
If you're lucky enough to get the weapon to drop, you'll have yourself one of the most powerful weapons in all of Borderlands 3. The One Pump Chump boosts its base damage by a whopping 1000 percent, allowing you to do ten times the damage that you would generally do with other shotguns. The downside to the weapon is that it only has one round in the magazine before it needs to reload, but this is offset by a 50% chance for the shotgun to not consume ammunition when fired. This means that you could potentially fire several times in a row before needing to reload, which brings the maximum damage per second potential of the One Pump Chump into absurd levels, especially if you're good at aiming and can hit foes in critical hit spots that will further boost your damage.
