Microsoft has announced during its Windows 10 press event today that Windows 10 will include support for a new Photos app. It will be a universal app that will work with both PC and smaller mobile devices like smartphones.
The Photo app will combine both on-device photos as well as those located on a user's OneDrive account, and eliminates any duplicate photos. The app will also include some automatic image enhancing, but users an can toggle on/off to see the original photo. The enhancements will remove red-eye, balances lighting and more.
The Photos app will sync up from a phone, to the OneDrive, and down to a PC. It can also creates automatic photo albums based on time, location, but users can create albums manually.
The new Photos app won't be available in the upcoming Windows 10 preview build that will be released soon for Windows Insiders but it is coming in the future.
