Windows Phone Developers, listen to this: AppBizDev Podcast Ep 16

Hey developers, if you ever wondered what we at Windows Phone Central look for when reviewing apps and games, you’ll want to check out the latest episode of the AppBizDev podcast, run by Alan Mendelevich (AdDuplex) and Senior Technical Evangelist for Windows 8 in Microsoft's Developer and Platform Evangelism group, Ben Riga.

In case you haven’t heard of it before, AppBizDev (www.appbizdev.com) focuses on the business end Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8—advertising and monetization. It’s a solid tool for tips and advice how to make the most of your app strategy.

This week, I was lucky to be a guest on the show and we focused on how to pitch an app to us. Check it out by heading to the AppBizDev website (http://www.appbizdev.com/2013/05/episode-16-pitch-perfect-with-daniel.html and follow Alan and Ben on Twitter (@ailon and @benriga) to keep up.

Oh and yes, we’ll be doing our own Podcast again later today. Stay tuned.

  • I'm counting that as a compliment.  Thanks!  :D
  • Gotta love AppBizDev! Thanks guys :)
  • Thank you!
  • Thanks for the kind words. Drop us feedback and let us know how we're doing (good and bad).
  • Listened to half of the episode on the way to work this am, and will hear the rest on the way home. Good podcast, and twice I've gotten 250,000 free ad impressions from AdDuplex.
  • Thank you for your support, Rich!
  • Excellent.  I think it's time to submit your app for the under the radar section, right?  ;)
  • That was how I got the second 250k impressions! BTW, I've implemented several of your suggestions, and just haven't had time to do more.
  • I only found this recently but it's a really good podcast for developers. Thanks Ben and Alan.
  • Thanks! Let us know if have ideas on how to improve it.
  • Daniel - did you mean to tag this entry as 'Ben Riga' (instead of 'Ben Lower' - who is also pretty awesome :) )?
  • Maybe it's a sign that it's time to bring Ben Lower back into Windows Phone team? :)
  • Thanks for a great interview Daniel. Just a coupel of questions: Do you prefer dealing with XAPs for Betas through the Store if we want to give you early access to something? If I've dealt with someone in the past (for example, Rich wrote about us initially), should we get back in touch with them directly, or should we use the Tips form every time?
  • Good question. I've been reviewed by George Ponder.
  • Great podcast, great interview. But isn't that sowehow ironic when Daniel says that he loves to see screenshots of an app, but there is no such option  in the "Tip us on news" section
  • Great interview with Daniel; great podcast by Ben and Alan!
