Xbox One Shopping Cart now available to select Xbox Insiders
That took a few years.

A "Shopping Cart" has been one of the most requested features for the Xbox Store, and it looks like it's finally coming to Xbox One soon. However, if you're an Xbox Insider, you can test out the ability today. According to a post (opens in new tab) by an Xbox Program Manager, "Beginning today Preview Alpha – Skip Ahead, Preview Alpha, and Preview Beta can begin using the new Shopping Cart feature."
A digital Shopping Cart option allows you to collect various games and items, so that you can purchase them altogether. For example, let's say you wanted to buy multiple games on sale. Beforehand, you would have to purchase all of them separately, which is quite a hassle and time-consuming to say the least.
- You'll now see a "cart" icon in the Xbox Store which will navigate to the Shopping Cart.
- All game pages now have an "Add to Cart" button accessible from the "…" next to the "Buy" button.
- The contents of the Shopping Cart are shared between all platforms.
Hopefully the Shopping Cart will roll out to all Xbox One owners soon. We'll keep you posted when it does.

What about the stores web page?
-
I can see the shopping cart and basket on the Windows 10 PC both on my Alienware R3 and Surface Pro
-
Yeah, a shopping cart popped up in the Microsoft Store on my Surface Book 2 and I'm not an insider anymore. I was like "What's this cart with a 1 on it??? It was some keyboard with a built in fingerprint reader I placed in the website cart some eons ago, now in the Microsoft Store app. Then...I thought...."I need to buy that!" Microsoft Store developers....mission accomplished.
-
What keyboard was it? I'm in the market for one and this sounds good!

What they need to add now is an Afterpay option and I'll be set.
-
Is the stores finally gonna tell you how much tax is do sweet.
-
Shocked that so many want this. I don't begrudge it, but am genuinely surprised at demand.
-
As long as it doesn’t get in the way of the “buy” option in a games’ page.
-
I don't really care about this feature, but I'm still dying for a wishlist that allows me to keep a list of games I want and easily check their current pricing. Maybe the "bones" of this feature will help them finally make that?
