Instagram has introduced a new version of its icon, and is rolling out an update for the iOS and Android versions with both the icon and a new design for those apps. The Windows 10 Mobile version is supposed to get those changes in an update later this week.
Neowin got the news on the Windows 10 Mobile app update from an Instagram spokesperson. The company offerered some more general information about the changes in a blog post:
Today we're introducing a new look. You'll see an updated icon and app design for Instagram. Inspired by the previous app icon, the new one represents a simpler camera and the rainbow lives on in gradient form.We've made improvements to how the Instagram app looks on the inside as well. The simpler design puts more focus on your photos and videos without changing how you navigate the app.
The Windows 10 Mobile version of the Instagram app only launched a couple of weeks ago, so it's good to know that the new redesign is making its way to that version in just a few days, rather than a few weeks or momths.
