Microsoft's latest Surface Book ad targets the Hispanic market with English and Spanish versions

Microsoft has started rolling out yet another TV commercial for its Surface Book notebook in the U.S. However, this campaign is a bit different, with the company targeting the Hispanic market with a Spanish-language version of the ad as well as English versions.

The commercials focus on Jorge Gutiérrez, the director and co-writer of the 2014 CGI animated movie The Book of Life, and his wife Sandra Equihua, who is also an animator and painter. The couple praise the Surface Book for allowing them to create animated characters and scenes, with the use of its touchscreen and its Surface Pen, which they claim they could not do on a Mac.

Microsoft also released another version of the 30-second ad, with Gutiérrez and Equihua speaking in their native language. It's likely that version will be broadcast on U.S. Spanish-language networks.
