Out this week on Xbox One: Rare Replay, Panerium, and more!

Every week, new games are released for the Xbox One. Whether they are indie titles or AAA titles, we want to make sure they're on your radar. So get your wallet ready and clear some space on your hard drive. Let's take a look at what's coming out this week for Xbox One.

Rare Replay

A collection for the ages

Back at E3 this year, Rare and Microsoft made waves by announcing that they were putting together 30 of Rare's best titles and throwing them into a retail collection for $30. The collection mashes some of their best older games as well as newer titles to give gamers a look into the creative minds of one of the best developers around.

The collection features notable games such as Blast Corps., Conker's Bad Furday, Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect Dark, and of course Battletoads. Rare Replay also features a leveling system that allows you to unlock mini-docs on each game as well as unreleased games that never saw the light of day. Rare Replay takes you back in time starting Tuesday, August 4.

Submerged

A peaceful adventure

Submerged is a unique third-person adventure game in which the game has no combat and focuses on exploration above all else. You play as Miku, who has brought her injured brother to the city in their small fishing boat to seek healing.

Climb the buildings in this sunken city as well and look for supplies to save your ill stricken brother. Along the way, you will also find hidden objects that will unravel the mystery of this broken world and broken family. Submerged floats onto the Xbox store this Friday, August 7.

Disclaimer: I've searched high and low for a definitive release dates on the titles below, but all I can find that's definitive is that these games are for sure releasing this week.

Penarium

A sadistic circus extravaganza

In Penarium, you play as Willy, who is the star of a very sinister show. Willy, who has been trapped inside the Penarium, must escape elaborate deathtraps if he wants to be able to return home to his father. The crowd is there to cheer on the killing machines in the hope of seeing some blood. How long can you survive the Penarium?

Whispering Willows

Elena the friendly ghost

In Whispering Willows, you play as a young girl named Elena as she makes her way around Willows Mansion. Elena is no ordinary girl, though, as she can project her spirit outside of her body. She uses her ability around the mansion to help ghosts that are stuck on the grounds to make their way to the 'other side'. That being said there are a few evil spirits that lurk within the mansion and are out to get Elena and the good-spirited ghosts (no pun intended).

Can you use Elena's physical and spiritual body to solve puzzles and find her missing father? Find out this week when Whispering Willows comes to Xbox One.
