Today, Lenovo announced what may be arguably one of the most exciting convertible Ultrabooks around for the next few months. Between its cleverly engineered and dazzling hinge, the Yoga 3 Pro is as thin closed as the original Surface Pro 1 tablet without a keyboard at just a half-inch. Weighing in at 2.62 pounds (1.19 kgs) the Yoga 3 Pro is also amazingly light for a 13.3-inch QHD+ laptop.

Although Lenovo gets credit for the design, one of the technology features that let them go so thin was due to Intel and their new Core M 70 Broadwell processor. You may have heard of Broadwell versus the current Haswell generation as something worth waiting for, but you may not know all the differences.

I'll break 'em down for you.

Snapdeal and Intel today announced the launch of Notion Ink's 'CAIN' 2-in-1. Powered by the Intel Atom Processor Z3735D, the Windows 8.1 convertible is priced at ₹19,990 ($330), and is exclusively available on Snapdeal, India's leading online marketplace.

If the Notion Ink name doesn't ring a bell, you might remember the Bangalore-based company's ill-fated debut in 2010 with the Notion Ink Adam, a tablet that ended up becoming the most overhyped and under-delivered product with controversies and delays over production and shipping.

Intel has today announced a new family of Core M (Broadwell) processors that will help make hardware even thinner. Tablets and 2-in-1 personal computers are already pretty darn thin, especially when you compare everything available in 2014 against what was on the market a few years ago. Intel has played its part in offering more advanced processors to cut down on unnecessary space taken up by cooling solutions without compromising on power and the next-gen Core M chips will further help manufacturers.

Microsoft is reported to have been working with Intel on a upcoming model that would slot into the Surface family of Windows tablets. The tech giant is expected to unveil the new Surface Mini at an upcoming event later this month, but CNET's sources state a new Intel-based Surface tablet may also be present. The Intel technology used would most likely be Haswell, rather than the chip maker's mobile device-focused Atom processors.

Love it or hate it, Windows 8 is an operating system that is trying to break new ground. Microsoft’s move to rethink their world famous platform is the grandest risk and endeavor that the company has ever taken. For those of us on Facebook, think of when an update is released and brings minor changes, but a major user backlash. The idea that people don’t enjoy change is just one of the battles the Redmond company faces as it climbs the hill to a new beginning.

Microsoft really wants consumers to put down their iPads and pick up its own ARM based Windows RT devices. So far, we have seen aggressive campaigning against Apple’s portable computing tablet. Today Dell announced its latest carbon fiber and aluminum creation, the XPS 11. The manufacturer’s latest machine features a beautiful design and 2560 x 1440 resolution. In addition, Dell takes a cue from Lenovo’s IdeaPad YOGA and introduces a hinge that allows the screen to flip back 360-degrees behind the keyboard.

Did we mention that Dell flattened the keyboard so much that you might confuse it with a Microsoft Touch Cover? We don't know about you, but to us, one of the main factors laptop machines still have going for themselves, over their tablet counterparts, are the keyboards. Why Dell, why?
