Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update begins rolling out

Microsoft has started rolling out the Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update, a couple of weeks after it began doing the same for Windows 10 PCs.

In a blog post, Microsoft's Windows Insider head Dona Sarkar stated:

The Windows 10 Anniversary Update has begun rolling out for Windows 10 Mobile. The Anniversary Update includes additional features and improvements for your Windows 10 phone. To manually check for the update, on Start, swipe over to the All apps list, then select Settings > Update & security > Phone update > Check for updates. Note that availability may vary by manufacturer, model, country or region, mobile operator or service provider, hardware limitations and other factors.

The release build appears to be 14393.67, which is the same release for Fast Ring Insiders a few weeks ago. As a result, those on the Insider program and who are on that build will not see an update.

The update is reportedly 943 MB in size.

So far, AT&T has not released the firmware update for the Lumia 950.

We'll add more info to this article as it becomes available.
