"The pro-aim function is like cheat mode for shooters": Who needs Xbox's Elite controller when this cheaper joypad plays better?

Most people prefer playing first-person shooters with a mouse and keyboard as they're far more intuitive for aiming fast compared to traditional controllers.

However, there are some controllers aiming to catch up to those levels of accuracy with special features that help improve their input latency and aiming speed.

Windows Central review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

What makes the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra controller worth buying?

The Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra is packed with a smorgasbord of gameplay-enhancing hardware, most of which can be customized to your preferred play styles.

It features responsive mechanical buttons, a special Pro-aim mode where you can adjust the sensitivity of the right analog stick, four extra remappable back buttons, and Hall Effect sensors fitted into the analog sticks and triggers.

With this tech, your input responses will be vastly improved so you can pull off split-second headshots in FPS games like Overwatch or Call of Duty without having to worry about input latency.

The Hall Effect sensors are also good for other genres, too. When my colleague, Jennifer Young, reviewed the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra, she was able to enjoy using it for racing games like Forza Horizon 5 because of how highly responsive and accurate the Hall Effect analog sticks and triggers, despite REALLY not being a fan of racing games.

She explains, "The vibration in line with the revving of the motors really added to the immersion, and the triggers felt great when accelerating and braking. I almost had fun before going back to slaughtering demons."

Other notable features of the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra include a Command display screen where you can check notifications/messages or remap your controller's functions, a light and comfortable build, and a large battery life of 30 hours (or 18 if you use the Command display and turn on the controller's RGB lighting).

However, with all this advanced tech, it means the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra usually commands an 'ultra'-high MSRP of $219.99 at most retailers.

Fortunately, today's your lucky day as Amazon has cut it down by a 54% to $100.43, making it over $50 than Microsoft's official Xbox Elite Series 2 controller.

So, if you're looking for a powerful, premium-grade Xbox gamepad that can give the best Xbox controllers a run for their money, then we highly recommend giving the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra as this 54% discount is one heck of a deal.
