Acer's Revo Base will pack a lot of hardware inside a tiny Windows 10 PC

Acer has announced the Revo Base, the latest in its lineup of Revo mini-PCs. This new model packs in a lot of high-end hardware inside a small form factor, and will run on Windows 10.

Acer states:

The Acer Revo Base encapsulates surprisingly powerful performance into a compact 1-liter chassis. It measures 5.3 cm in height with a 14 x 14 cm footprint, features up to Intel Core i7 processors, and up to 8GB of DDR3L system memory, ensuring that it runs smoothly when handling intensive tasks such as decoding top-quality multimedia content. The Windows 10-powered Revo Base comes with integrated Intel HD graphics and high-definition sound.

The Acer Revo Base will have both HDMI and DisplayPort connections, along with four USB 3.1 ports. Onboard storage can include up to 2TB in hard drive space or 256GB in SSDs, and there's also an SD card slot for adding more storage. The PC will go on sale in the first quarter of 2017 in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for the starting price of €429 (about $478). There's no word yet on a U.S. release date.
