Let's see what's in store for us.
What you need to know
- Age of Empires IV is an upcoming strategy game from Xbox Game Studios.
- There's a countdown timer on the title's website which seems to indicate an imminent announcement.
- More details will probably be revealed during X019.
- The title will be available through Xbox Game Pass.
A few years ago, Microsoft announced Age of Empires IV for Windows 10. Unfortunately, we haven't heard much about the game since then. However, it seems like that's about to change. According to a post by famed insider "shinobi602" on Twitter, there's a countdown timer on the Age of Empires IV page which probably ends when X019 begins.
X019 is Microsoft's yearly celebration of gaming, and it takes place in London this year. A lot of new titles are expected to be announced, maybe even the latest projects from Compulsion Games and Obsidian Entertainment. However, only time will tell. Hopefully, Age of Empires IV will get some gameplay footage and a release date.
