Battletoads release date set for August 20 on Xbox and PC

  • Battletoads now has a release date of August 20, 2020.

First announced at E3 2018 then shown off in more detail a year later, the Battletoads are almost here. Today, Xbox announced a release date for Battletoads: players can expect to brawl and smash as this amphibian wrecking crew on August 20, 2020. You can check out the release date trailer below:

Developed by Dlala Studios in partnership with Rare and published by Xbox Game Studios, Battletoads supports three-player couch co-op, so if you've got friends of family, you can team up and have Zitz, Rash and Pimple all fighting at the same time.

Battletoads will be available on Xbox One, Windows 10 and Steam. It's also launching into Xbox Game Pass.

  • Hype! They should've shown this at the big showcase.
  • While I am playing and enjoying Streets of Rage 4, this looks a little too hectic and "Saturday morning cartoon" for my liking. Wait, Saturday morning cartoons aren't a thing anymore. Damn I'm old. And where was this trailer last week, Microsoft!
  • Game Pass is the best thing to happen to Xbox since the original Halo. Can't believe we get all these amazing games for a low monthly price!!!
