What you need to know
- Battletoads received a gameplay trailer.
- It will feature 3-player couch co-op.
- It will come to Xbox Game Pass at launch.
The Battletoads are back! After nearly two decades of silence for the series, Battletoads will be coming to Xbox One, and be available at launch with Xbox Game Pass. But of course you'll be interested in seeing the trailer for yourself. And for all of you fans of couch co-op, you'll be happy to hear it supports up to three players.
Unfortunately, we don't know how long we'll need to wait for the upcoming Battletoads because a release date was not revealed on Microsoft's E3 2019 stage. It has been years since the last Battletoads, so what's a few more more, right? To tide you over, you can fight the Battletoads in Shovel Knight until then.

I had the biggest smile on my face when I heard the 'music' starting the trailer.
That animation is amazing, this game is going to be great. And couch co-op too!
I may be in the minority but I thought I looked awful. Why not use the graphical style of the character in Killer Instinct, it looks like a snes game.
It looked like a cartoon, that animation was spot on. Plus it was really outlandish and I feel like the zaniness would be a bit lost in a 3D style (which is actually evident in the bike racing section of the clip).
Ever hear of Retro style? There is a reason why people play old games. Personally, I thought the new style of TMNT: Turtles in Time looked awful. It didnt help that they actually CHANGED the game as well.
