Bloody 'Assassin's Creed Odyssey' trailers feature both Alexios and Kassandra

Seeking to stoke the hype for Assassin's Creed fans today, Ubisoft took to Gamescom with a pair of trailers for the next game in the series, Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Set in ancient Greece, Odyssey will let you play as female protagonist Kassandra and male protagonist Alexios, and the trailers highlight both.

Each trailer is virtually identical to the other, but it gives fans a peek at how epic the battles to come will be no matter who you're playing as. But perhaps the biggest thing they have in common is that Greece is in trouble, and it's up to you to save it.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is expected to launch of October 5, and it's available to preorder now starting at $59.99. But if you pick up the Ultimate Edition, you'll get early access on October 2. And if you're playing on Xbox One X, you'll get to see everything in glorious 4K resolution utilizing dynamic scaling.
