The next RPG epic from CD Projekt RED, Cyberpunk 2077, is now up for preorder on Amazon for $59.99..
After years of teasers and speculation, Cyberpunk 2077 made its official debut at E3 2018. Based in the same universe as the Cyberpunk 2020 pen-and-paper game, Cyberpunk 2077 will be an open-world narrative RPG that marks a departure from CD Projekt Red's more recent fantasy-based Witcher projects, delving into a futuristic dystopia ruled by corporations.
Following the game's debut at Microsoft's E3 event, CD Projekt Red teased a little bit of what we can expect from Cyberpunk 2077. Players will take on the role of "V," who is a hired gun of sorts in the violent setting of Night City. A number of character customization options will be available to players, including V's gender, appearance, class, and historical background. Each of these choices will have an impact on the gameplay.
It sounds like Cyberpunk 2077 will be incredibly ambitious in terms of scope as well. Players will be able to dive into dozens of hours of quests, random activities around the world, and an interactive dialogue system that will influence the narrative.
Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't yet have a release date, but it'll likely be a while before we see it hit store shelves. However, the game will see a release on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. And if you own an Xbox One X, Cyberpunk 2077 will feature enhancements for Microsoft's current flagship console.
Cyberpunk 2077 is up for preorder now at Amazon for $59.99.
