It's coming very soon!

What you need to know
- Destiny 2 is a first-person shooter from Bungie.
- The game is switching up its business model going forward.
- You can pre-load the Shadowkeep expansion right now.
- You can purchase the expansion through the Microsoft Store (opens in new tab).
Destiny 2 is a first-person shooter from Bungie that is still incredibly popular after all this time. The game is about to get a new expansion called Shadowkeep, and pre-loading is now live on Xbox One.
We just received a patch on Xbox One X which is almost a 30 GB download. Be sure to check your data restrictions before downloading it because it's the end of the month. The download raises the total file size to almost 100 GB on the system. Maybe now would be a good time to transfer the game to an external hard drive.
Even if you haven't purchased Shadowkeep, you'll have to download the update because the expansion is being added to the existing file. You can preorder Shadowkeep through the Microsoft Store for $35. Hopefully, it'll provide a meaningful story because before Forsaken, the last major expansion, everything was quite bland.
Nightmares are coming
With the release of the Shadowkeep expansion, Destiny 2 starts a brand new chapter separate from Activision. This edition has a year's worth of content, too.
