Far Cry 5, The Crew 2, and new Assassin's Creed due within the next year, Ubisoft confirms

Ubisoft has just confirmed that has quite the lineup of games planned for release over the next year. As reported by IGN, Ubisoft revealed in its latest earnings call the Far Cry 5, The Crew 2, and a new Assassin's Creed title are all due for release within the 2017-2018 fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2018.

Other than their impending releases over the next year, no details on the titles were revealed. That said, previous reports have pointed to an Egyptian theme for the next Assassin's Creed, and a recent alleged screenshot leak hints at the same. The official Assassin's Creed Twitter account also confirmed an announcement of some sort is in the works for E3. Given the timing, it seems likely that we'll learn more of Far Cry 5 and The Crew 2 at E3 as well.

Finally, Ubisoft also confirmed, once again, that the latest South Park Game, subtitled "The Fractured But Whole," will make its debut during this fiscal year as well. The follow-up to South Park: The Stick of Truth was previously delayed from its December 2016 release date to a more general Q1 2017 release, before finally being delayed again.

  • Cool
  • I just want to know when i will get to see another Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia. Sorry, but i never cared for Assassin's Creed
  • Me too.
I also wanted to see another Prince of Persia game this time.
  • I have been WAITING for a Splinter Cell announcement. One of my all-time favorite series and it's been forever. Blacklist was way too underrated.
  • dude, to be honest... look at Assassins creed basically thats Splinter Cell... so... yeah, I miss Sam Fisher but without his original voice actor ... its a bit "meh" for me... but the game itself is OK just the voice acting is bad :(
  • There was a rumor that Michael Ironside is coming back as Sam Fisher. I don't remember where I saw that report, but someone talked to him and he mentioned something about Splinter Cell and a project he was working on. I'm hoping that the movie is gonna finally get underway and the game will be announced as the movie is closer to release. Perfect.
  • WHat i have personally hated abou t AC and cannot get pass it is the whole future past back an forth story lines. Give me PoP over this any day all day. And though often imitated, never Sam Fisher will never be duplicated.
  • Yes, I'd like a sequel to the 2008 PoP. Sorta just left the story hanging there...
  • Didn't the DLC finish the story for that? Much to the anger of just about everybody?
  • Prototype 3 please 😂
  • Copy and paste gaming? Like the podcasts stated, same games over and over, but we still buy them.
  • I wonder what on Earth is going on with the South Park game... Thank God I didn't pre-order. That said, very eager for the new Assassin's Creed. The Egyptian theme is very promising
  • Oh yeah, The Crew 2 is coming! I hope it's gonna be good.
  • Far Cry 5? Couldn't that just be DLC like the last three games should have been!
  • I hear this all the time... I think the gameplay is great... What exactly do you want to change? I get that its basically a wrapper each time but i like the gameplay. I think Wildlands is great but id still want FC gameplay as an alternative.
  • No.
  • I want a new Splinter Cell game, damn it.
  • Oh please stop it. Assassins creed is already dead.
  • Yeah, it died when t they ended the Desmond saga.
  • Please give me something to shoot bullets in FC5!!
  • Did you play Primal? Its actually awesome. Yes it doesn't make up for the loss of guns but it's still a great adventure nonetheless.
  • Complete bore fest.
  • Far Cry 5! Wildlands will tie me over until then... But hurry up! Need some Far Cry adventure! Primal was too short!
