Far Cry 6 has been announced. This open-world adventure from Ubisoft Toronto and Ubisoft Berlin is taking players to the tropical island of Yara, where a regime holds an iron grip. There are several different special editions of the game, with different benefits depending on your price range. This can all get a bit confusing, so we've got a guide that'll help you pick the best option.

Different versions of the game

Every Far Cry 6 special edition

The first special edition on the docket is Far Cry 6 Gold Edition. For $110, this includes the game and a season pass, which entitles you to three DLC packs sometime after the game has released. You'll also get a unique steelbook case. The digital version is $100 but naturally does not include the steelbook.

Meanwhile, the Far Cry 6 Ultimate Edition is only $10 more, at $120. It includes the game, season pass, and three special item packs with unique outfits, weapons, and more. That said, it's only available digitally, so you'll be giving up the ability to get a steelbook or physical copy of the game.

The Far Cry 6 Collector's Edition is the top-of-the-line choice for Far Cry fans. This package includes everything included in the Ultimate Edition and a unique steelbook and a replica flamethrower. It's only available directly from Ubisoft. You can see everything included in the image below.

Far Cry 6 was originally scheduled to release on February 18, 2021, but has been delayed and is now set to release at some point past April 2021. It's coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, PS5, PC and Stadia. Depending on how it is received, it could end up being one of the best open-world Xbox games.
