First Xbox One S TV ad is all about its smaller size and upgraded visuals

Microsoft has launched its first TV commercial for the Xbox One S. The ad focuses on the smaller case compared to the older Xbox One, along with its upgraded visuals for video and games.

The ad, as posted on YouTube, is pretty bare bones without a lot of flash. It has a number of beauty shots of the white Xbox One S, which shows off its 40% smaller case. It also mentions its support for streaming 4K video from sources like Netflix and its ability to play UHD Blu-Ray movie discs. Finally, it shows its support for High Dynamic Range visuals for games that support it like the upcoming Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4.

In the U.S., the 2TB launch edition of the Xbox One is still on sale for $399. Pre-orders for the $299 500GB version and the $349 1TB model are live, with shipments slated to start on August 23.
