Forza Horizon 3 is an open-world racing game from Playground Games, the team that's now a part of Xbox Game Studios. The title features music whose license is expiring, and due to this the game will be delisted from the Microsoft Store on September 27.
This is a standard practice for certain racing game that features a lot of different music. Keep in mind that this just means that you can't buy a digital copy through the Microsoft Store, many places will still have already-printed physical copies. If you've already bought the game, you'll still be able to play it.

What about Game Pass subscribers that still play the game?
-
I don't think this was available in Game Pass, right? It was Horizion 4 only I think.
-
Sorry. I didn't even remember I bought the game. I thought I was playing through Game Pass.
-
Its understandable, I did the same thing.
-
What will happen to digital copies if the game ever needs re-installing?
-
They’ll be in Ready to Install, just new people can’t buy it digitally.
-
But if its not in the store? I've got apps on my list that can't be reinstalled. I also bought all the Forza DLC
-
You'll still have access to any content you've purchased. It just can't be purchased the from the date mentioned.
-
I can't actually think of anyone else that does this off the top of my head, at least not this quickly.
-
It's not quickly. It's FH3 not 4 that's finishing. Licensing for car games vehicles and music has always had a 5 year license life.
-
Surely they could just do an update to remove licenced music? Wouldn't be the same but better than nothing
-
Because the core of Forza Horizon series is Horizon Festival, which is music and car festival. Music is the main element of Forza Horizon series. So, removing the sale of the game makes sense in this case.
-
They may like to think the music is core to the game experience but I think the music provided is annoying and always disable it. Don't understand why they can't just remove it.
-
I have to say I think the music really completes the package, but each to their own of course.
-
This is the dumbest thing ever. Either don't use licensed music or change the music that can't be used. Or delete it for all I care.
-
I think this will be a games with gold game next month as they did this with another game which was being delisted. Easer to give it out for free and have more owning it.
-
It always happens when they delist the games going back to Forza Motorsport 5

lmao
"It runs like trash but it does it at 4k" -
This is 3 we talking about. It released before One X came out. Forza Horizon 4 however does support 60fps.
