Forza Horizon 5 shows off improved car audio in new gameplay trailer
Forza Horizon 5 shows off several new cars and how they sound.
What you need to know
- Forza Horizon 5 is an upcoming open-world racing game from Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios.
- Yesterday, Playground hosted a stream that detailed how the latest Forza Horizon game has improved its audio prowess.
- Today, players can now watch a commentary-free gameplay trailer showcasing the newly improved audio in several cars.
- The trailer looks great, and shows off more Forza Horizon 5 visuals, but the focus is definitely on how the cars sound.
Playground Games is knocking it out of the park with its pre-launch Forza Horizon 5 build-up by steadily trickling tantalizing information to the Forza community. Yesterday, the studio hosted a stream detailing the audio improvements inbound in Forza Horizon 5, and what was shown off was genuinely impressive and exciting. Now, you can watch a commentary-free version of some of the clips shown off during the stream which showcases live gameplay footage of various cars and all the ways FH5 is improving car audio.
The trailer genuinely looks fantastic, even at 1080p, and shows off new environments and areas of Forza Horizon 5 we haven't seen yet. Detail hunters may find a lot to dissect in this gameplay trailer, but the visuals are not where the focus is in this trailer. Playground Games wants to assure the Forza community that they've taken their feedback seriously, and the car audio improvements on full display here are the result of that.
In the trailer, you can see a variety of cars that rev their engine and drive around, all to show off their beautiful engine noises and audio without the distraction of commentary or music. Some vehicles, like the Dodge Viper ACR and Toyota Supra, were especially criticized for their audio in Forza Horizon 4, and the response to the improvements from the community seems to be nearly unanimously positive (a miracle in the video games industry).
The next Forza Horizon 5 stream will reportedly focus on the open world and how Mexico is being captured in-game.
