Borderlands 2 'Commander Lilith & The Fight for Sanctuary' DLC may launch at E3 2019

What you need to know

  • Borderlands 2 may be getting free DLC soon.
  • Commander Lilith & The Fight for Sanctuary bridges the gap between Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 3.
  • A Steam image was spotted by Twitter user "Lashman."
  • You can buy Borderlands: The Handsome Collection for $21 at Amazon.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is an amazing package which runs at 1080p 60 frames per second (FPS) on the base Xbox One and 4K resolution at 60 FPS on Xbox One X. It contains the critically-acclaimed Borderlands 2 and the not-so-critically-acclaimed Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. While the games originally launched on the Xbox 360, the updated versions are a blast to play because the shooting feels smooth and precise.

A few weeks ago, Gearbox Software officially revealed Borderlands 3 for Xbox One and other platforms. The game takes place sometime in the future, but doesn't explain how all of the characters got there. Luckily, it seems like there's free DLC coming that bridges the gap between Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 3. "Lashman" first posted the image on Twitter.

Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & The Fight for Sanctuary seems like it takes place from Lilith's perspective, but we'll have to wait until E3 2019 to find out. Hopefully it'll tell an engaging story because Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel was lacking in that department.

If you can't wait for Borderlands 3, you can buy Borderlands 2 for $21 on Amazon. Commander Lilith & The Fight for Sanctuary may launch during E3 2019 so make sure you're all caught up.
