Hands-on with the thin and light LG Gram 15 notebook

LG used CES 2016 to show off the next model in their Gram line of notebooks. The LG Gram 15 has a 15-inch HD display, but only weighs 2.16 pounds and is just 0.7 inches thick.

We got a chance to go hands-on with the LG Gram 15 while we were at CES and our initial impressions are positive. This is a very thin and light Windows 10 laptop that can still pack in a powerful Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor. We don't when the LG Gram 15 will be released yet, nor its price, but we will keep you posted as we learn more.

What do you think of the LG Gram 15? Let us know in the comments!

  • Is it plastic or magnesium ? Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Looks to be aluminum. Surface products are really the only devices that are built out of magnesium that I know of (which is unfortunate as I love magnesium).
  • The new Samusung Series 9 laptops are milled from magnesium.
  • Finally an awesome laptop with a number pad. I'm buying two.
  • its magnizium(its NOT plastic), and its beautiful. I had a chance to play with its at CES. so freaking light. The screen is almost borderless.
  • Almost borderless means no touch screen :( I'm worried about it being so light, hopefully that doesn't mean small battery.
  • "We don't when the LG Gram 15 will be released yet..." Thought I'd alert you to the typo. Good looking laptop.
  • Didn't Daniel fall all over himself a couple days ago, gushing about how amazing it was that Samsung got their 15" ultrabook down to "just" 2.84 pounds? This one seems to blow that away (in terms of weight, at least), but it only gets a passing mention...
  • I heard the LG 14 didn't have god battery life, hopefully this was fixed in this model. (I highly doubt it though)
  • Does it have a touch screen? Didn't seen anything in the video review that said one way or the other.
  • Too bad, it would have been a purchase had it been Windows Hello/Intel RealSense capable.
