  • Why exactly would I want to use Iris over Opera?
  • I would like to know this as well. I really like Opera. Is Iris better?
  • Iris is free while Opera Mobile isn't. Not everybody has a Touch Diamond or Touch Pro.
  • Iris is good; it renders some sites better than Opera Mobile...Opera Mobile 9.7 feels more like Iris now. Opera is usually my default, but I like seeing the continued improvements in Iris.
  • Iris being based on the VERY quickly evolving WEBKIT engine has amazing potential. just look how good it is already in such a short time. how long did it take Opera mobile to get where it is? note:
    i love Opera too :)
  • Thanks for the tip. I tried Iris back when it was first on the scene and it was handy but very quirky. Now it is just quirky. Some links on pages wouldn't launch. Often it would fail and hang while kicking off a search and it kept rotating my screen upside down. Its bugolicious!
  • For mobile optimized site (ex yahoo news), Iris renders better than Opera. However, Opera still very good. Iris development is really progressing, and competition is good.
  • Well here is one good reason to use Iris "It Plays Flash Video" need any others ?
