Latest Netflix update causes app to crash endlessly, fix underway [Update: Fixed]

It looks like the most recent update to Netflix is causing the app to crash endlessly when loading videos. Several users have commented on our forums and on Reddit, stating that the app is unusable after the update.

The issue seems to not be limited to a single device or operating system, with the Lumia 930, 830, 640, 635 and 1320 affected by the update. Doing a restart or fresh install also does not seem to do the trick, and it looks like users on both Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview are experiencing crashes after launcing the app.

Thankfully, Netflix is aware of the issue, and has mentioned that Microsoft will be issuing a fix shortly. Until then, we advise you to not update the app to version 4.2.0.20 until the issues are sorted out and a fix is available.

Update: We're beginning to see the new version, 4.2.0.25, hit the store in some regions. This release should address the issue detailed above. If you're yet to see .25, we recommend you hold off updating for now until the update propagates to your shores.
