Lenovo's new ThinkStation P320 is a VR-ready tower for CAD pros on a budget

Lenovo has announced the new ThinkStation P320, a VR-ready desktop tower aimed at CAD professionals and designers. Available in both Windows 10 and Windows 7 flavors, Lenovo is also targeting the P320 at small and medium-sized businesses that might want to do some design work in VR without breaking the bank.

With a relatively staid design, the tower itself will actually be available in both a full-size tower or small form factor once it launches. On the inside, you'll find processor options ranging from Intel's Kaby Lake i3 through i7 chips on up to the Intel Xeon E3-1200 v6.

Graphics options include NVIDIA Quadro P1000 and P4000 chips, and the tower can be configured with up to 64GB of 2400MHz DDR4 memory. As for storage, you can add up to 16TB, but your fastest M.2 option maxes out at 2TB.

Lenovo says that the ThinkStation P320 will go on sale at the end of April. And though we don't have an exact price at the moment, the company is specifically targeting the P320 at those looking for workstation power at the price of a desktop.
