LG Spills the Beans – Windows Mobile 7 in 2010?

According to Engadget, LG stated at CES press event that Windows Mobile 7 will be on devices this year. Obviously this still isn’t an official announcement from Microsoft, but LG is one of their bigger partners for Windows Phones. Might we hear something official from Steve Ballmer at his CES Keynote tonight? Rumor has it that Robbie Bach, Microsoft’s President of Entertainment & Devices Division, will be joining Steve on stage.

Tune in at 9:30pm Eastern, 6:30pm Pacific for our liveblog from the event.

  • The fact that Robbie Bach will be there isn't a rumor. It's spelled out on Microsoft's PressPass site: https://www.windowscentral.com/e?link=https2F%2Fclick.linksynergy.co...
  • LG says they already have it on a handset? Where is it? I get very sceptical about vaporware, when the vendors say they have something, but can't show it. With other Microsoft OSes, when they go into beta phase, everyone can see it during that period when the bugs get ironed out. Why can't we see WM7, if it is already on handsets?
  • Maybe LG can't show it because MS wants to show it first? They can have an early alpha build on handsets, which makes sense. Or it could be a first beta, but whatever the case there's probably a NDA for WM7 at this point so LG or anyone else who probably also has it can't show anything yet.
  • hoping WM7 wont launch on an LG device first. they have a reputation for making the crappiest phones ever!
  • The eXpo is a big improvement over the incite!!!!!!!!!!! Way better except the no stylus silo thing. Although with wwwwww6.4.3 you are less dependent on the stylus.
