Microsoft debuts 3 new stylish Xbox One controller designs
A trio of new Xbox One controller designs are on the way, and they're quite the lookers.

Between the Xbox Design Lab and Microsoft's own creations, there's no shortage of Xbox One controller designs out there. Now Microsoft is adding to that portfolio (opens in new tab) once again with a trio of stylish new controllers set to go on sale soon.
The first two designs to arrive are the Volcano Shadow Special Edition and the Green/Grey combo. Volcano Shadow (opens in new tab) features sort of a burnt red-orange aesthetic, fading from a black at the top and sides to a "fiery red metallic finish" towards the bottom. The Green/Grey controller (opens in new tab), on the other hand, is a much simpler affair, with grey dominating the majority of the controller and green accents appearing at the base of the thumbsticks. Both controllers will start shipping on August 3 for $69.99.
The third new design Microsoft has debuted is the Patrol Tech Special Edition. This is the second entry in Microsoft's Tech series, featuring a similar military-inspired aesthetic as its predecessor. This one features a navy blue coloring with silver accents, along with laser-etched texturing, an insignia, and rubberized grips. The Patrol Tech Special Edition will arrive on September 5 for $69.99. It can also be bundled with a cable for Windows for the same price.
All three of the new controllers are up for preorder now at Microsoft, and they'll also be available from other retailers upon launch.

Those tech editions are the only way to go IMO. The rubberized grips and etching make a big difference, and now that they're the same price there really isn't an excuse.

Not really a fan of any of these, they're whatever. With the custom design option, might as well just go that route, IMO. Wish they'd update the Elite Controller, put that into the custom design lab, and give it a better warranty.

I love the Volcano Shadow. I guess I'll have to get it. I don't need it since I use the Elite but it's just too pretty to pass.

I actually really like the grey one. Probably something to do with the green in it.
