Microsoft Store rolls out new look for app pages, remote installs on Windows 10
App and game pages now look a lot closer to recent changes Microsoft made to the Microsoft Store on the web.

The Microsoft Store on Windows 10 is picking up a new look for app and game pages, along with the ability to remotely install apps to your other devices. Combined, both tweaks bring the Windows 10 version of the Store a lot closer to Microsoft's recently revamped web store (via Windows Latest).
The new look for app and game pages is quite a bit sleeker than the previous design, featuring a large "Install" button at the top of the page, followed by a card-like design with the app's name, icon, and description. Scrolling down, Microsoft has also cleaned up the process of viewing other information about an app, affecting the Overview, System Requirements, Reviews, and Related sections.
Finally, like the refreshed web store, the latest update for Windows 10 includes the ability to remotely install apps on your other devices. You can access the feature by clicking or tapping the ellipses menu next to the "Install" button and choosing "Install on My Devices." From there, you can select from your other Windows 10 machines, as well as your Xbox One consoles if the app is available there.
Importantly, this update appears to be rolling out now via a server-side switch from Microsoft, rather than an app update. If you aren't seeing the new look and remote installs just yet, sit tight; they should make their way out to everyone soon.

The Microsoft Store lacks of a good changelog section... It's hard to know what the update brings of corrections or new stuff
-
This. So much this. Android has at least made their's bearable, don't know what Apple's done for their's lately. I applaud devs who actually post stuff in the changelog sections.

Super, i did have some layout concerns before, so I'll be sure to check it out soon, and a one click install to all devices is d duper, i hope it lets you pick n choose...

I've been asking for not to place Portrait screenshots in Landscape placeholders for 3 years now. I wonder if this super-advanced feature will ever make it into the Store.
-
I dig this update! Much easier to view and more refined.
-
This update reminds me of the Windows 8 Marketplace.
-
it looks more like the store section on the xbox one

Would be nice to be able to remote install applications on family members units as well if you added them as family members in your account

It seems to be web-based now, notice how the hand pointer now appears everywhere (as if there were hyperlinks) where previously only the normal cursor would appear. Plus, you get the Edge-style scroll bar that remains light even in dark mode. Note that this only applies to app pages, not to search results, the front page etc.

mines don't have the hand pointer... that must be yours champ....
-
It always appeared to be web-based. Never had any UI preloaded before the content.

oh I quite like the shadows

Finally right?😊

I have a question if anyone can help. Previos store had an update aps button and then you would be able to check to see if all your apps were up to cate. Has anyone found this or if its still nessecary in this version? Also The apps themselves in the description or somewhere on there page had a "Last Updated" date. This seems to know be missing or am I just not seeing it?

Had never been necessary.

I love MyTube!👍😊

I have the new layout but since the two most recent builds, I cannot click on anything on the … menu. Can't check for updates or anything else on that menu. The menu opens but if I attempt to click on anything, it simply closes and nothing happens. Reported on Microsoft Feedback but very little seems to happen to any reported problem in that app.

cool...that this article shows snapshots of myTube! Nice promo.

Awesome to see remote installs return.

Now it's a web wrapper 🙄
