What you need to know

  • A new Meeting recap feature is on the way to Microsoft Teams.
  • The feature will provide a transcript and meeting recording along with its shared files and messages.
  • The feature is set to start rolling out this month.

Here is a description of the feature from the Microsoft 365 roadmap:

Meeting recap will help teams stay on track and keep their work moving forward after the meeting is over. Coming this year, a recap with the meeting recording, transcript, chat, shared files and more will be shared with participants in the meeting Chat tab and viewable in the Details tab for each meeting.

The recap of the meeting will appear in the Chat tab for participants of the meeting to check out. People can also find out more about the meeting in the Details tab for each meeting.

Virtual meetings have become increasingly important as more people work, study, and teach from home. Make sure to check out our list of the best webcams for Windows PCs if you are trying to improve your video calling and conferencing.
