Star Wars: The Old Republic is a popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that takes place countless years before the events of the Star Wars films. Today, publisher EA and developer BioWare announced that the free-to-play game is available to download for free on Steam. You can download it by clicking here.
Steam is the PC storefront most preferred by PC gamers and making it available on it should increase player count. According to the press release Windows Central received, beginning today, players can begin or continue their own story-driven Star Wars saga playing as many iconic character classes and choosing your path down the Light or Dark Side of The Force.
Star Wars: The Old Republic on Steam has full cross-play and cross-save with the direct launcher, so all progress will carry over when you log in. Steam features a lot of intriguing features and trading cards, backgrounds, emoticons will be available. Steam Achievements are also part of the mix.
