moTweets Twitter app finally gets released

We mentioned it last week and here it is, moTweets has finally cleared the Marketplace certification. Made by Panoramic, moTweets was a favorite app on Windows Mobile and it has now finally transitioned over to Windows Phone. Even though the app is "only" v2.0 (technically, the first release), it packs a huge amount of features that will rival any other Twitter app on the market today.

The app comes in two version: free and 'premier' (or Pro). The former is supported by ads and costs nothing, while the latter goes for $0.99 and has no ads. We always like choice and that applies here too. Anyways, we're gonna go give it a spin. Let us know how it works for you in comments.

Our initial impression? It's nice but a bit slow and cumbersome. That's not unusual with initial releases though, so hopefully it'll speed up in future updates. Still, it's not immediately replacing our number one favorite Twitter app which is...

Grab moTweets (Free) here and moTweets 'premier' here.
