New Windows Phones go on U.S. Tour as Microsoft throws some parties

Live in the US? Live near New York City, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles or San Francisco? Then you'll want to head over here to the Windows Phone Facebook page to reserve yourself a spot, as Microsoft is set to throw two-night parties in those cities to celebrate the launch of some new Windows Phones.

Free drinks, live music from some indie bands and a chance to see and play with the the HTC Radar, Titan, Samsung Focus S and Flash. There will be food, a lounge and a chance to play others in video games, which sounds like a grand old time, if you ask us.

And yes, at least some of us will be attending (cough, me, New York City), so perhaps we'll see you there. But reserve now as space is limited! You will need a Facebook account though.

Bonus cool feature: You can send your e-Ticked to your Windows Phone, which you use to get into the event.

Bonus cool feature 2: First 20 registrants for each night get a VIP upgrade...go go!

  • Live near New York City, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles or San Francisco? .... What? Not Portland, ME? Come on MS it falls right under those other cities in population. Don't you remember in the "Pop Music" song? It went "New York, London, Paris, Portland, ME everbody talkin bout ... Pop Music..." Or that gem from Right said Fred. "I'm too **** for my shirt too **** for my shirt, So **** it hurts, And I'm too **** for Milan too **** for MilanNew York and Portland, ME..." Oh well, maybe next time.
  • I would like to take my son to this. He's 14. It doesn't say it's for 21 and up, but it does ask me if I'm 21 when I register. Does anybody know if it is 21-and-over-only? And can you bring a guest?
  • I don't think it's for 21 and over, but everyone who you want to bring must register. One entry per person.
  • It looks to be 21 and over since there will be free drinks... I was wondering the same about bringing a guest and from the looks of the ticket, it doesn't look like it, so I went ahead and reactivated my wifes FB account and got her in and then deactivated it since she doesn't use it."Bonus cool feature: You can send your e-Ticked to your Windows Phone, which you use to get into the event." Very cool! You can pin to start the ticket!"Bonus cool feature 2: First 20 registrants for each night get a VIP upgrade...go go!" How do you know you get this or not? I entered way before your post G:

  • I'll be there the 30th in LA also. Hope I get some vip status!
  • Will be at the New York show on the 8th. I live in Philly but it's only a cheap bus ride away. lol
  • Since it says "be the first to see". I wonder if it means those devices won't come out before the San Francisco party in December... :-(
  • I have the New York City 11/07 reserved! Looking forward to it!
  • In for NYC 11/7
  • My contract ends on the 27th of November and I live an hour away from Dallas. Could this be any more perfect? (Well, I guess Dallas could've gotten Matt & Kim. Then I would have really been freaking out.)
  • I gave it my GVoice number to deliver the ticket to my phone. Didn't work out so well.
  • ummmmm... and what if we are among that portion of the population who are resisting being assimilated by the Facebook Collective? No other way to sign up except through their Facebook page?grrrr....
  • okay fine... i conceded defeat and set up a Facebook page back on the 20th just so i could sign up for this darned thing. now it says i've got a reservation but, i don't have an email or text messages or anything to show that i'm on the list.grrrr...
