No new Windows 10 Insider builds expected this week
If you're a Windows Insider, expect the wait for a new PC build to continue into next week.

Windows Insiders went without a new PC build release last week, and it looks that wait will continue through this week as well. Windows Insider chief Dona Sarkar has now confirmed on Twitter that there won't be any new build releases this week due to a number of issues.
1/2 #WindowsInsiders: the installation bug we hit (GSOD + constant rollbacks) internally is too impactful for us to flight this week.1/2 #WindowsInsiders: the installation bug we hit (GSOD + constant rollbacks) internally is too impactful for us to flight this week.— Dona Sarkar (@donasarkar) August 17, 2017August 17, 2017

The last Windows 10 PC build to be released to Insiders was 16257, which came at the beginning of August. The latest Mobile Insider build was a little more recent, with build 15240 having arrived last week. Sarkar's wording presumably covers both PC and Mobile builds, so Insiders can probably relax and hope for another build to hit sometime next week.

And why am I not surprised?!
-
Sell your Windows PC and get a mac, just so we don't have to read these posts anymore, okay?
-
Maybe he really LIKES his windows computer but cannot stand how Microsoft manages things??? Ever think of that? also, OSX is pure crap compared to windows 10....
-
@steve You may be right, but who are we to decide if a build should be released today or next week?
-
By "we" you mean Windows Central? They're the one in charge of publishing articles like these!

16257 sucks, cannot use my printer, force close of windows 8 apps
-
USB printer works fine. Net printer on TCP/IP won't print from Windows apps, though test print, and printing via remote desktop work - presumably because the Windows drivers are bypassed.
-
It is really unusual to occure to this kind of serious bugs because official release date is very close. Do they delay the public release as they usually do ?
-
I would prefer them to delay it than to release it anyways and then the first thing you have to do is download a 50GB update before you can use it.
-
I think it's quite normal as they get closer to release to be more careful at what gets flighted. With a deadline looming, developers rush their code in, and introduce new big problems. That is the phase they are in right now. In a week or two I expect the flight speed to increase as the problems being resolved are less risky. Near the end their may be a flight every day or every other day.
-
Any news on the 16257 ISO ?
-
So the nuking of GPS-using apps will remain as is? Thanks ever so much for that destruction.
-
Choderus, Is this just on insider builds or for all windows 10?

Or indeed not until Tuesday at the earliest... Dona Sarkar - Verified account
