Podcast Lounge 2 hits open beta for Windows 10 PC and Mobile
Podcast Lounge 2 brings the popular original back for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile in open beta.

Podcast Lounge was among the most popular podcast apps in the days of Windows Phone 8.1, and now it's set to make a return for Windows 10. The app, now dubbed Podcast Lounge 2, is now available as an open beta on the Microsoft Store (opens in new tab) (via All About Windows Phone) for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile devices.
The Universal Windows Platform (UWP) app includes a number of the same features that were present in the Windows Phone 8.1 app, along with some new goodies as well. You can easily subscribe to podcasts from a searchable directory, and there are variable speed and skip options available as well. A collection of options in the Tools menu also provides quick access to importing and exporting your podcasts, along with the option to backup and restore settings to OneDrive.
As All About Windows Phone points out, new to the UWP version the option to view and browse podcasts by category, as well an an auto-categorize feature.
Given that this is an open beta, you're likely to encounter bugs along the way. However, if you're looking for a native podcatcher for your Windows 10 PC or Windows 10 Mobile device, Podcast Lounge 2 could be worth a look.

Beautiful

Looks good, but it's going to take a lot to move me away from Grover, especially is it has Xbox support. Hoping to see some good features out of this dev.

Was about to say the same. Grover is an app done right.

Grover has 1 flaw which baffle's me. I play a podcast which I subscribe to... the Free version of Grover lets me subscribe no issues but the "Paid" for Grover Pro bugs out and I can't subscribe.
Might try and move to this over the weekend.
On my Windows 10 Mobile, the Podcasts !(Beta) is still hard to beat. -
Basically, this organization belives Andromeda is work investing into by evidence of the WP/Mobile UWP application.

I tried this app on my Windows Phone a couple of days ago and am unimpressed. Whenever I search for podcasts, I am always given exactly two results and the rest of the screen is always filled with the recommended podcasts (ie The Joe Rogan Experience etc). Deleted within minutes.
