Prey demo now available — play the first hour for free

Prey's free demo is now available, giving you a chance to get an early look at the terrifying confines of the Talos I space station. The demo comes a week ahead of the game's full release on May 5, and is now available for Xbox One and PS4.
The free demo lets you jump into the first hour of gameplay from Prey. That's just enough to glimpse the start of protagonist Morgan Yu's journey aboard the Talos I after a terrifying species of aliens, the Typhon, breaks free from its confines. Throughout Prey, you're tasked with taking on the Typhon and preventing them from reaching Earth.
In any case, if you're ready to jump into Prey ahead of its full drop on May 5, you can grab the demo now from the Xbox Store.

The first game was a pretty interesting take on the FPS genre - definitely unique. I was pretty excited for the originally anounced second game. I understand there were serious issues with the game but I was still excited about it as it seemed to also be a unique game. However, i just don't have any interest in this release and I can't put my finger on why. This demo is appreciated and maybe it'll change my mind.

I get a very Bioshock-y vibe to this game at the moment. Which is a good thing. For those who are worrying - this is the first 'hour' of content. There's a part where you can proceed further because its just a demo, but you can still wander around the area looking for different things.

Hoping for a Dead Space and Alien Isolation feel with sweat down the neck.

I'm going to give this demo a shot, so far I haven't been wowed by videos yet, hopefully the gameplay itself gets me excited.
