Razer announced two new gaming mice that pack the latest mouse tech inside refreshed designs of popular gaming mice. The Basilisk V2 and DeathAdder V2 both include notable internal improvements such as 20,000 DPI Focus+ Optical Sensors and the latest Razer Optical Mouse Switches. Both mice also support new mouse features, including Smart Tracking, Motion Sync, and asymmetric cut-off. The Basilisk V2 is available for $80 and the DeathAdderV2 is available for $70.
The Basilisk V2 comes in at 92g and has a 2.1m Razer Speedflex Cable. On the inside, it has Razer Optical Mouse Switches rated up to 70 million clicks and a 20,000 DPI Focus+ Optical Sensor. It has 21 programmable buttons, advanced lift-off and landing distance customization and DPI clutch for on the fly alteration. The end result is a mouse that provides a wide range of customizable gameplay. In our review of the Basilisk V2, our editor Richard Devine stated, "What you end up with is an extremely ergonomic, lightweight mouse that's even more comfortable to use than ever before. Whether you're working or gaming, the Basilisk V2 is a mouse than can do it all. All day, every day."
The DeathAdder V2 houses some of the same internals as the Basilisk V2. It has Razer Optical Mouse Switches rated up to 70 million clicks and a 20,000 DPI Focus+ Optical Sensor. It's slightly lighter at 82g and also comes with a 2.1m Razer Speedflex Cable. It has onboard profile storage and eight programmable buttons to customize gameplay. Like its new sibling, it also has advanced lift-off and landing distance customization. Devine rounded out his review of the DeathAdder V2 by saying, "Razer did a stellar job on the DeathAdder V2, leaving alone the iconic, ergonomic form factor and filling it with all the latest techy bits from the recent Ultimate mice."
