Red Faction: Guerrilla port could be headed to Xbox One

Fans of the Red Faction series may have the chance to dive back into an older entry on Xbox One soon. Initially spotted by Reddit user Reqqu (via Gematsu), Red Faction: Guerrilla briefly surfaced as a listing on various European GameStop websites, with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 listed as its available platforms.

The game is no longer listed, and no release date as available. However, this could indicate that either a port or a remaster is on its way to both platforms.

Red Faction: Guerrilla was originally released in 2009 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The game is set 50 years after the original Red Faction, allowing players to take on the Earth Defense Force in a renewed bid for liberation. Along the way, you can take advantage of a destructible environment to take out enemies with unique strategies and tactics.

In any case, take this with the requisite grain of salt until developer THQ Nordic gives the official word. If accurate, however, it will be interesting to see if Red Faction: Guerrilla gets the remaster treatment, or whether this is simply a port.
