News around Red Dead Redemption 2 has been fairly bare ever since it was first announced, but Rockstar is now teasing an announcement is on the horizon. If you've been eagerly awaiting new bits of information around the highly anticipated game, you'll only have to wait until next week.
Aside from the actual teaser, there's no indication as to what we can actually expect, unfortunately. All Rockstar has released is an image decked out in Read Dead flair that reveals the date of the announcement: Thursday, September 28 at 11 a.m. ET.
Red Dead Redemption 2 was originally pegged for an autumn 2017 release date, but that was delayed through spring 2018. Other than an announcement trailer and a batch of screenshots shared earlier in 2017, Rockstar has remained relatively mum on the next entry in the popular franchise.
As for the upcoming announcement, it's possible we could see the release of a new trailer. Given that Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn't have a firm release date outside of spring 2018, it's also possible we may get something more exact to latch onto as well. In any case, Red Dead Redemption 2 is planned for release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but there's been no word of a PC release thus far. Hopefully, we'll hear much more on the game with next week's announcement.

I used to work there, back when the original was created.
I cant state how strongly I feel that nobody should support this company in any way. Do some research into what happened at the end of red dead redemptions production cycle... What happened to the employees in San Diego who worked their asses off for years to get the game out the door.
Lives were ruined
Thanks, it's important that these things are known. Personally, I've never bought any of their games, but that's a coincidence. Now I feel less inclined to do so.
I got the first one bundled with the DLCs on a sale for $10, haven't even played it yet. guess I'll work on my backlog and wait for this one to hit GwG at some point.
You put Tuesday the the 28 instead of Thursday the 28 lol
Whoops! Fast fingers backfire sometimes (thanks).
I bought the backwards compatible version. Went to play it only to find online was completely broken and riddled with issues created by other players that tampered with the game. Very unfortunate that this happened and that Rockstar never attempted to fix this. I hope this can't happen with Red Dead 2.
