A September Release for the Acer F1?

We know that the Acer F1 is a Windows Mobile phone with a Snapdragon processor under the hood. We did mention back in March that the F1 might have a September release date and the rumors are growing in strength.

Engadget Mobile is reporting that the F1 is rumored to be released "at the end of September and in the fourth quarter".  Beyond the 1ghz Snapdragon processor, 3.5mm headphone jack, and 3.8-inch WVGA screen very little is known for sure about the F1.  It should be released running WM 6.1 Professional and upgradeable to WM 6.5.

No report as to where the F1 one might be released during this four-month window but we can only hope that the U.S. market is involved.

  • Toshiba TG01 vs. Acer F1...which will arrive in the US with 3G first? The race is on!
  • I think the situation with the Acer F1 is interesting. Nobody seems to be interested in this phone. There is little hype surrounding the F1, and some of the reviews from mobile world congress labeled it as a dud. But from a hardware perspective: (3.8" screen and snapdragon) the F1 appears to be the number one Windows mobile phone AND there are rumors of an imminent release (granted, its not likely to be in the U.S.) I'm curious as to why nobody has seemed to pick up on this, and nobody really cares about the F1. Is it because this is an Acer device?
  • I agree,it look's like a preferrable device to the TG01,by way of larger battery and an inbuilt stylus. I'd like one,but acer's apathy in marketing and creating any sort of interest is just about enough to put a person off......I mean if they can't be bothered marketing what seem's like a worthy product,is it reasonable to expect any support and interest in after sale's. The F900/M900 was the same, you just about have to trip over the info by accident to even find out about them
