Skyrim: Special Edition goes free to play this weekend for Xbox Live Gold members

It's time to get your dragon shouts ready, folks: Skyrim is all set for a free play weekend on Xbox One. Xbox Live Gold members will be able to dive into Skyrim: Special Edition for free from today, September 7, through September 10.

The fifth entry in the Elder Scrolls saga takes players to the titular Skyrim to explore as a Dragonborn, someone bestowed with the soul of a dragon. Skyrim is basically a gaming classic at this point, packing the usual vast number of quests and freedom that the Elder Scrolls series is known for across an epic campaign. The Special Edition includes remastered lighting, art, and effects — all of which make the game look fantastic.
