Starz revamps its Xbox One app with new design and more

The Starz network has relaunched its Xbox One app with a new design that also combines all the content from its other two movie networks, Encore and Movieplex.
The Xbox One app was originally known as Starz Play, but the updated version is just called Starz. The network had separate apps for its Encore and Movieplex channels on the console, but the Starz app now eliminates the need for them as all of the movies and TV shows from those networks can now be viewed in the updated app.
There's also a fresh UI design with large graphics so users can quickly see the selection of movies on those channels, like Star Wars: The Force Awakens, along with original shows such as the upcoming season 2 premieres of Blunt Talk and Ash vs Evil Dead. Starz will also be the home for one of the most anticipated TV shows of 2017: American Gods, based on the Neil Gaiman fantasy novel.
If you are a Starz subscriber, you will be able to access all of the Xbox One's app content for free. If not, you can sign up for a free seven-day trial and then pay $8.99 a month for access to the Xbox One app.

Great, right after the last episode of Power.
-
Nice app. Pretty cool that you can subscribe without a cable plan too.
-
Nice... I can't wait for all of these networks to allow this. One less thing to keep me on cable.
-
That's what everyone needs to do. Time to put cable companies back in their place.
-
They need to vamp a UWP app for W10M!
-
Unless you have Comcast, who has blocked access. Right before Ash vs Evil Dead. >:(
-
Yeah, this happened like a month or so ago. Also it doesn't work with Comcast subscriptions which the old apps did.
-
When will this be coming to windows mobile?
-
NVM, rebooted my Xbox and see the acheivements carried over to the new app.. Nice.
-
No UWP app? :(

I wish Stars was available in Canada. Had to get Ash vs Evil Dead on Bluray just to watch it.
-
Bring on Black Sails!!
-
That's another one I had to buy the Blurays for.

I wish HBO would do this with Cinemax and Showtime would do this with The Movie Channel.
