After making its debut at E3 2018, Vigor, the latest survival title from DayZ developer Bohemia Interactive, is now available to play in beta for all Xbox Insiders. The beta launch follows a period of closed testing with select members of the Vigor community.
Vigor is an Xbox One-exclusive game set in a post-apocalyptic world where survival is key. After a nuclear bomb has devastated central Europe, survivors made their way to Scandinavia to seek a new life. The game places a heavy emphasis on player-versus-player combat, and each player (or "Outlander") will have their own shelter, which operates as the main progression system.
The main goal of Vigor is to search out and gather resources and materials to keep yourself going. Hoarding will be key, as players risk everything upon venturing into combat. Along with the main shelter progression system, crafting will also play a major role as one of Vigor's main gameplay hooks.
If you're an Xbox Insider, you can opt-in to try the Vigor beta by heading to the "Insider Content" section of the Insider Hub on your console. Just opt to join and you'll be sent to the Store to download the beta client.
