Desperados III is a Wild West tactical game that has garnered a lot of great reviews over the past few days. It's finally available on Xbox One and starts at $60. There's also a Deluxe Edition available that comes the season pass. The season pass will add new missions throughout 2020.
Desperados III looks great on Xbox One X because it runs at 4K resolution. There's also an option for 60 frames per second (FPS) in there from what we know. You'll have to try it out to see if you prefer that performance. If not, you can always lock it to 30 FPS.
Jez Corden reviewed the game for Windows Central and said, "Desperados III certainly will not appeal to everyone. Despite having a solid story with great characters, and lovingly-crafted levels, the tactics genre simply doesn't have the broadest appeal... Mimimi Games achieves maximum satisfaction with Desperados III's delivery, and as someone who had never played a real-time tactics game before, Desperados III is an epic introduction to the genre."
Wild west strategy
Desperados III is a franchise I didn't know I needed. With endlessly satisfying tactical action, Desperados III is an unexpected gem of a game, that stealth fans need to try.

I really enjoyed these games back in the day, both Desperado and Commandos. I'm really surprised that it isn't a genre that is done more frequently any more. It's always turn based tactics instead of real time.
I had a feeling hearing Jez talk about this game for the past couple of weeks that it was like Commandos. I hadn't played much of that series, but it always seemed to be an interesting style of gameplay.
Yeah I really, really like this game, and the genre. WEirldy I got a few press releases this past week of games similar to Desperados and Commandos being built, so maybe teh genre will see a bit of a resurgence? This was really fun.
I didn't expect it to be that good until reading your review. I'll be checking it out.
I'm confused about this being in 4k and xbox x enhanced.
In the Microsoft store it doesnt say 4k or Xbox one x enhanced under capabilities or anywhere. I didnt want to buy on xbox if not so I emailed THQ asking them and they replied with a strange reply. They didnt say if it was or wasnt but they said they would send my request for 4k on xbox one x to there productions dept. That makes me think it isnt, I replied asking again but no answer yet.
There a trial so I downloaded that to see and it was the same size as the full game but doesnt seem to be in 4k to me at all and I cant find that option anywhere for 60fps, at least not on the trial.
Could the author please clarify all this?
