theHunter: Call of the Wild's vast open world is coming to Xbox One

Avalanche Studios has announced (opens in new tab) that it is bringing its open world hunting game, theHunter: Call of the Wild, to the Xbox One later this year.
Already available for PC, Call of the Wild is a bit of a departure from some of Avalanche's other, more action-oriented titles like the Just Cause series and Mad Max. The game pits you in the shoes of a hunter in a vast, open-world environment, letting you set out on a virtual hunting trip either solo or with friends. And if hunting isn't your thing, you can just take in the sights and capture the wildlife on the in-game camera.
There's no firm date for a console release outside of "2017," but Avalanche Studios says it has a team dedicated to the console release already toiling away. If you'd rather play on PC, however, you can pick up the game on Steam for $30 now.

Looks interesting
-
Can you use a controller on steam version?
-
Most likely in big picture mode.
-
Ok thank you
-
It doesn't make a difference if it's in big picture mode..Either a game has controller support or it doesn't.
-
Wow that's interesting
-
perfect game for me :D
-
Yeah... That's interesting... Let's all go out with big guns and shoot innocent and harmless animals like the retards you are....
-
You do realize they are not real? Computer generated and all go find something else to do and let the adults have a conversation.
-
Yeah... A really interesting conversation this was leading up to...
-
You're an idiot dude. You do realize that hunting actually saves quite a bit of the animal population right? Not to mention the fact that we as humans kind of need to eat.
-
Who's the idiot?! Ever heard of vegetarians... You don't need to eat meat...
-
Tell that to people in parts fo the world where you can't grow all of your food. Humans are designed to eat meat, and non-meats. Good work ignoring my main point by the way.
-
You don't have to hunt. You can just take pictures or take in the sights. Or.....you don't have to buy the game?
-
Or, you know, take photos of them, like the article stated.
-
If only games as great as this get ported in mobiles.................
