Toon Clash Chess is a fun, animated game of chess that pits rival groups of neighborhood kids against one another on the chessboard. There are three difficulty levels and a "pass and play" multiplayer mode.
The game is available for both Windows and Windows Phone. The core game is an ad-supported, free title that includes the basic gaming features. You can upgrade to the premium version for $5.99 that unlocks all three gaming environments, removes the ad, and unlocks the multiplayer mode. If you've been on the fence about making the jump to the premium version of Toon Clash Chess, today is your lucky day.
Through the myAppFree promotion, over the next twenty-four hours, you can pick up the premium version of Toon Clash Chess free.
On the surface, Toon Clash Chess is a fun game of chess where the neighborhood gang of kids takes on the role of your chess pieces. The 3D gaming characters come to life with hundreds of arcade-styled animations that help bring the game to life.
The game includes three different board types that represent different areas of the local neighborhood and three difficulty levels to keep the game challenging. Along with the single player game, the premium version includes a two-player gaming mode (pass and play style) where you can take on your friends to see who's the better chess master.
Additional features for Toon Clash Chess include:
- Undo in case you have second thoughts on a move
- Hints to point you in the right direction
- Classic 2D mode for overhead play
- Adjustable camera angles for gameplay
We liked Toon Clash Chess when we reviewed it and with the premium version being available for free through the myAppFree deal, the game is all the more attractive. The deal saves you $5.99 and unlocks all the premium features not available in the free version of Toon Clash Chess.
The deal is currently live in the U.S. Market but may take a little time to reach the other markets due to the various time zones out there.

Is overkill3 an offline games?
Hahahaha, yea so funny, yet you get confused sometimes which one which, you have to try it.
This game is fantastic.
I'm having trouble with the "buttons" on the left side of the screen, on my Lumia 640. I can't click the back button, or camera button when playing. ??? edit: It appears to work better when the virtual home keys are on-screen. If you hide them it's really iffy. Also, it does not appear that I have to do anything to upgrade. ? I immediately have 3 playable levels/boards and two-player option. :)
Cool, I'd been looking for something like this--remembering Battle Chess from long ago. EDIT: I see now that a remake of that game was recently released too. Double fun!
